We are looking to recruit an experienced Commissioning Engineer.
The position will involve commissioning, service & maintenance of food processing equipment. The role is varied and challenging, suiting someone with a passion for engineering, travel and professional development.
Responsibilities- Commission, inspection and maintenance of our systems- Resolve of electrical/mechanical faults- Maintain strong customer and supplier relationships- Frequent travel across the UK and overseas to customer sites
Experience- Multi-skilled engineer – preferably electrically biased- A recognised qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering- A valid UK driving licence
Competencies- Motivation and drive for continuous improvement- Strong communication skills- Hands on, methodical approach to work and problem-solving- Applications are encouraged from engineers with experience gained from a broad range of industries, including manufacturing, maintenance, FMCG, electronics, electro-mechanical as well as other high value electronic or electro-mechanical service sectors.
The role will involve effective coordination of all site activities, liaising with multiple departments together with subcontractors and suppliers to deliver projects on time. The role is challenging, suiting someone who is highly motivated and organised with strong communication skills.
- Organise, plan and manage site projects to schedule and within budget targets- Coordinate site activities with commissioning, technical and site staff- Communication with subcontractors and suppliers ensuring successful, timely contractual start up- Liaising with production department to ensure smooth operations and processes- Source and manage all site based deliveries, shipments and hire equipment- Ensure best practice and compliance of safety and quality standards
- Maintain high standards and a commitment to quality during the completion of every task- Methodical approach to organisation and resolving issues- Confidence and ability to manage- Strong communication skills
- Experience held in a similar project management position- A demonstrated knowledge of working within a customer centric environment
